hi! im 13 too, never had a boyfriend, and to top it off im 5'9. (thats wayyy to tall compared to all the kids in my school). i also have thick frizzy hair. Ive been through alot and i learned that time makes eveything better. stay strong and remember that you can always talk to me:)

your not ugly at all, don't put yourself down, people do care, and anybody who doesn't isn't worth your time anyways. Im poor, so i make most of my clothes myself. I go to a nerd school, don't know a lot of "cool" people, have major family issues and a good reason to be sad, but i don't let it take over me. the feelings are there, but i refuse to let them take a primary place in my mind. everybody has their issues, and don't think for a moment that anybody is perfect. just do what makes you happy, and above all else, love yourself, and others will follow suite

Darling, does any of this really matter?
Take a second and think about it. In twenty years when you're married and you have children, and that acne is gone and you haven't spoken to anyone from school in two decades... Why will any of these silly things matter? They won't! Darling I'm in high school and I've never had a boyfriend, never been kissed, etc. and I'm freaking PROUD of that because I'm beautiful and I don't care what anybody thinks about me. I'm saving myself for marriage in a dying world. Acne? Who cares? You're at your most beautiful when you don't mind what anyone thinks. Honestly. And about you being thirteen. Honey, look around. Think long-term. How many of those cute little middle school couple make it more than two or three weeks? one? two?
How many of them are gonna get married? Please. Not a single couple. They'll "date" and get their hearts broken and then grow up and actually find a real relationship.
All the while you're jealous of what's fake and won't last. Stand strong, beautiful. Look to God for companionship. Be who you are and get good grades! Build an amazing life for yourself and when you're older, when you're eighteen or twenty or thirty, FIND the person who will love you for the rest of your life. But let it happen. Stop wishing! You'll be so much happier, I promise! There's a girl in my chorus class who could fit your description of yourself. You could say she has "thick frizzy hair" or that she's "overweight." but you know what? I love her. She's genuinely really pretty and a good friend and a good singer, and she's really funny and smart and she doesn't care what anyone thinks. I'm proud of her for that.
Don't you dare be jealous of the girls who are selling themselves out. They're giving and getting what? A slimeball of a boy to hold them for a few seconds in the vast hour of life? Those girls are destroying themselves and their pride and their dignity, they're degrading themselves, just to fit in or be popular. It's all absolutely ridiculous. Don't you fall for the same trap. I want you to get over all these insecurities and stop "hating" yourself. Enough is enough. Stand up and love yourself for who you are, not what you are. You're an individual. You're the only you that this world will ever see. Stop pining after boys and be yourself. Be fabulous and beautiful. Your personality is worth it. Your soul is amazing.
I realized that boys are silly and that I needed to wait for them to grow up before I expected a real relationship a long time ago, and I've gotten stuff done because of it. I published a book at thirteen! You can do real things that matter instead of thinking you're not good enough!
I promise you! You're worth it! Just stop caring cold-turkey what these foolish people think! Become who you were meant to be! You're amazing! You're lovely and a perfect creation and the only you this world will ever see!

None of this is true. Designers brands suck and it's only Sophie who wears them anyways. Your hair is gorgeous and you aren't fat and EVERYONE eats a ton. I don't want you to die and I know I haven't always been the best friend but I won't let you do this to yourself. It's OK to be tall, all the more chance to be a model. The only reason Sophie/Alya/Aydan get boyfriends is because they give to everyone like really. I know I started dating Joe and we drifted but having a boyfriend isn't all love and doves. You will get jealous and that eats you alive. They hurt you in ways you wouldn't do to yourself. Getting good grades is a great thing and you really would be the -PERFECT- indie girl. You're just shy and everyone has acne. You couldn't have it worse than Frankie tin'as bro. ;) Hey, I always say messed up but that's ok because that's who I am. That's who you are.

You aren't supposed to have a boyfriend at 13 anyway honey. I know everyone does, but it's not REAL it's all sexual which isn't worth it. Don't be down on yourself! Everyone is beautiful, unique, remarkable, and gifted. Life isn't fair, it's just fairer than death that's all. Nobody's perfect so you just have to accept the challenges god gave you to overcome because in the end they'll make you stronger. Hang in there < 3
