When fate takes over...
Chapter one
My last week in Washington flew by quicker than I had hoped it
to be. I actually spent the whole week with Alison and Emma.
After our tears of saying goodbye, we promised each other to
stay in touch and remain friends. Even though deep inside my
heart, I knew our friendship wasn’t going to last since I
was moving down to Los Angeles. I shivered when I thought I was
losing the two people I care mostly about. However, it was time
to accept reality, even when you are pulling into your new
house in a different state.
I wasn’t going to lie. My new house was beautiful.
Part of it was beige, another part has dark brown wood and
there was a fort-like entrance was that marble. My father
opened the house. “It’s beautiful” I mumbled.
Shortly after I went up to my room and changed for the day
ahead of me, the time was the same here. We went on a night
flight, and right now its 6:30. I took a quick shower and threw
on my skinny jeans, a nice white tank top that showed a little
of my belly, topped off with a pair of white stilettos. I said
bye to my parents, ‘Have a nice dad, oh and make new
friends!’ my mom shouted as I groaned knowing it
wasn’t going to be easy. I drove my orange Cobalt
to school and parked in the parking lot at the end of the
field. I got out of my car and got strange, curious looks from
everyone, well I was the “new girl”. I was walking
to the office to get my classes; I got interrupted by a short
brunette. She was about my age, and a lot shorter than me.
“Hi! I’m Adrianna” She smiled
“You’re the new girl right?”
I forced a smile and groaned when she called me the new girl.
”Yeah… I’m Kate”
She seemed nice, she reminded me of Alison… I also
noticed gorgeous she really was. She sighed,
“I know how tough it is to be the new girl, ill help you
get around if you want.”
“Yeah thanks, where is room 452?”I laughed
“Oh that’s in the third building second floor, is
that your first class?”
We started walking at the same pace, I nodded.
“Oh yes! We have that class together!”
A grin formed across her face, which later turned into a smile.
Adrianna was tan, very tan. I guessed she was Latin since of
her name and her accent. She has gorgeous dirty blonde hair, it
fell just below her chest and it was curly. She’s the
complete opposite of me, I’m a brunette, tall and I have
naturally straight hair since I lived in Washington the sun
never actually shined and I was vampire pale compared to
others… The bell rang right when we walked in the class.
Then, all eyes were on the “new girl”…
"Everyone, settle down. We have a new student"
My heart started pounding harder than it already was. I hated
being singled out, and being in a new school made it ten
million times worse.
"Hi Katherine, I'm Mr. Diaz. Everyone please make her
feel welcome"
He smiled warmly, yet i hated that he made a public annocement
making it a big deal about my attendence. I sat down next to
Adianna, as biology slowly passed by into what seemed centuries
the bell rang. I could tell the Adianna and me were
going to be very close friend after having numerous
conversations with her about ourselves and stiff. She was
cvery... Peepy and energetic but i liked that about her and we
shared common interests, making it effortless and comfortable
to talk to her. After three more periods passed by, it was time
for my lunch. Adianna met me at my locke, and we decided to go
to lunch together. Adrianna walked with me to the cafeteria it
was far from my locker.
"You can sit with my friends at the table outside"
She smiled.
"Trust me, they will all love you"
