Never Be the Same
Chapter 15:
"Kendra, we're here." I heard
Sam's low voice say as he gently woke me up from my nap.
I opened my eyes and let out a huge yawn as I stretched myself as
much as I could in the car.
I blinked a few times, before looking out the window at the
massive house in front of us.
"Is that house yours?" I asked Sam, astonished.
Sam laughed and shook his head as he parked, "My parents
live here, I live in my dorm."
I rolled my eyes as he laughed and turned off the car.
"Shut up and let's go." I grumbled as I got out of
the passenger's seat.
Sam followed, leaving the driver's side, laughing as he did
so.
"You know, you're really annoying sometimes." I
grunted as I tried pulling a suitcase out of the trunk.
Sam carefully released my grip from the bag for me, and lifted it
out with ease.
"I got the bags, and I know." he smirked, unloading the
trunk of his car.
I waited patiently and helplessly as Sam struggled to carry each
of the bags to the door.
"Are you sure you don't need any help?" I asked,
biting my lip.
Sam flashed me a perfect smile and shook his head.
"I'm fine, Kendra." he reassured, pecking my lips,
just as the front door opened.
"Hello Sam!" a tall woman, with blonde hair and blue
eyes exactly like Sam's said.
"Hi mom," he said, stiffly, but subtle enough for her
to not even notice.
"And this must be Kendra, right?" she asked, and Sam
nodded.
"Hi," I said shyly with a small wave.
"Wow, she's even more beautiful than you described her
as, Sammy!" Sam's mom said.
Sam let out a groan, and I knew "Sammy" was one of
those embarassing names your parents called you, even though you
hated them.
I had one too, my mom used to call me "Kenny Penny,"
but I was never sure as of why. My dad, on the other hand, just
simply called me "kiddo."
"Well, come in you two! Leave the bags, I'll tell Martha
to get them." Sam's mom said as we walked inside
I heard Sam growl something under his breath, but it was too low
for me to understand.
I could already tell it was something about his parents, followed
by a few choice words.
"Who's Martha?" I asked him, confused.
Sam rolled his eyes at me, "Their housekeeper."
His family has a housekeeper also? Like one who cleans your room
for you?
I don't understand why Sam hates it here so much, but I'm
already loving it!
The house was gorgeous, with a beautiful view of the beach, which
was a few blocks away.
What more was there to be asked for?
Sam walked upstairs, so I followed him, not knowing where we were
even going.
We walked through what seemed like a never ending hallway, with a
door every fifteen or so feet.
The walls were painted a light creamy color, and there was
different pictures and decorations on the walls as well.
Sam opened up the doorway to one of the rooms, and motioned for
me to follow inside.
"I'm guessing we're going to be staying in here, so
this is my room," he said as he walked in.
I looked around, seeing a cleanly kept bedroom, something you
wouldn't expect of a college student.
There were sports trophies lined along the walls, and a huge
plamsa television mounted into the wall.
There was a queen sized bed situated across from the t.v., and a
desk near the wall furthest to the left of it.
"I really don't get why you don't like it here,
everything's so perfect." I told Sam.
He sighed, taking a seat on his bed, "Just wait until you
actually meet my family, then it'll be ruined."
I let out a small smile, and squeezed his shoulder as I sat
beside him.
"That's why I have you two now," he said, placing a
hand on my stomach.
I bit my lip, trying to hide the fact that my face was turning
pink.
Sam laughed momentarily, then kissed my lips gently.
My insides exploded, and I wanted more from him, though I knew
that I couldn't.
At that exact second, though it seems crazy and too fast, I think
I fell in love with him.
Alright, that was not worth the wait, so
I'm sorry guys:( But I still hope you
enjoyed!
