5 Thousand Miles

Chapter one

Alicia's P.O.V.
"Alicia wake up!" I heard as I felt a heavy blow to the stomach. Chase, my younger brother, was jumping on me.
"Alicia! Alicia! Make me food!" His freckaly face what staring back at me, his green eyes were giving me a sypathetic look that kept me from saying no.
"Alright, just give me a minute to wake up."
I looked at the clock. It was the first day of summer but that didn't stop my brother from waking me up at 6:30 in the morning.
I heard my Chase's feet scatter to the kitchen, and that was my que to get out of bed and follow him. I made us eggs and pancakes. They are Chase's favorite and I never minded making them for him because our mother use to make them for me.
After breakfast I went up to my room to get ready. I was in the middle of straightening my hair when I heard my door fly open.
"CHASE!" I yelled, frusterated already from this morning, "HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU TO NOT JUST PRANCE RIGHT INTO MY ROOM?"
"I-I just was wondering if you wanted to play Clue or something."
"Well I can't now! Can't you see I'm busy?"
"Sorry." He said aggresivly before slamming my door.
Although Chase and I got along pretty well together, he still got on my nerves way too much.
I could barely hang out with my friends without having stress put on me before hand.

Kimberly's P.O.V.
The light coming through my window shined through my closed eyelids and woke me up. I let out a loud grown before turning over to see my clock.
10:00
Another long night at work kept me from enjoying sleeping in.
I rolled out of bed and made my way to the window. It was the first day of summer and I knew I would be dreading it. Summer only ment more working hours at my towns only reasturant, not being able to have that "summer romance" everyone dreams about because of my overprotective older brother, and waking up to the same scenery: A Maple tree and all the horses my family makes me ride.
I made my way out of my room to find my brother sitting at the kitchen table drinking coffee. Out parents must be at work. My mom works in the office at the ranch and my dad owns the local Bakery.
"Another long night at work." His messy brown hair shooked as his blue eyes met mine, expecting an answer fast.
"Um, yeah"
"No boys, right? Mom and dad told me to ask you that."
wouldn't doubt that.
"Of course not." I kept my voice monotone.
I went back to my room and changed into some jeans, a different Tee, and snuck my way out the back door so my brother wasn't going to question me. I was only going to hang out with my friend Casy anyway.
And her extreamly hot brother.
It was almost impossible to spend time with friends without anybody letting me be independant.

I love your story it's amazing! Maybe you could be a bit more descriptive at some parts, but it's great. I really hope to see more!

I like the parallel plots, it's a nice change from the stories I usually find. There were a few tiny typos and one or two sentences that sounded a little clunky, But in general it sounds really great! Keep up the good work, I hope to see more(:
