Chapter 2.
Caitlyn's Point Of View

The next day after school I had to work. I worked at an old-fashioned diner that was in walking distance from my house. When I arrived I was greeted by the owner, Jess. She was in her late fifties if I had to guess, but she was the closest thing I have to a friend, which is kind of sad if you think about it. "Caitlyn!" she exclaimed "So good to see you!" I smiled and went in the back to get ready.

As I was about to start my shift, my phone started to ring. It was Liam. "What?" I answered. "Nice to talk to you too, can I come over?" He asked. "No I'm at work, and I have to go!" I said. "Wait where do you work?" "At the diner near my house. Now bye." and with that I hung up.

20 minutes later, sure enough Liam came in. "Why are you here?" I asked him. "To see you. I'll wait until you're shift is over." Then he went and sat at booth. As I walked into the kitchen, Jess called me over. "Is that you're boyfriend? You guys look great together! He's a keeper Caitlyn!" "No!" I exclaimed, blushing like crazy. "We're... friends." Though for some reason, I feel like I'd want to be more than that.

Once my shift was over, Jess gave me a hug and said she couldn't wait to see me the next day that I had work. Liam decided that he would walk me home. For a while neither of us said anything, and It was kind of awkward. Then finally he spoke.

"Number two, Caitlyn. Jess will always be there for you."
