Lonely Misfit

She covers her face
with make-up and powder.
She throws on a smile,
to make her look prouder.
This isn't who she really is,
it's never what it seems.
For this girl you see here,
is holding in the screams.
The streams of tears
she recalls from last night,
she tried to hold in
with all of her might.
Coats of mascara
she adds to her eyes.
Gloss to the lips
that spilled all the lies.
Last but not least,
she throws on an outfit,
that tells everyone,
"Just don't make me a misfit."
