'Daddy?' I said. 'Daddy!' I yelled and ran over to him about to hig him when my alarm went off. I woke up crying knowing that was just another dream that would never be reality.
It was just another day of highschool, Junior year. I instanly knew my mother wasn't home. She was always at work, never at home spending time with me. My father, I'd never be able to see him. He passed away when I was 5, from cancer.
I rolled out of bed wiping my eyes with the back of my hands. I walked into the bathroom and plastered on my makeup, straightened my hair and threw on my white skinny jeans, a pink sequined tube top and slipped on my heels. I walked downstairs almost falling in the process. I grabbed a lemonade from the fridge and a powerbar from the pantry. And I raced outside into the rain to my car and pulled out of the driveway an off to school. Just another day of faking a smile and another day of hiding the real me.
