The Truth Comes Out Eventually
Chapter 15

Becky runs out of her door and gives me a hug. I wince because it kills, she doesn't notice. She looks down at my arm. "Oh! Come inside and I'll fix that up!" She takes my hand and leads me into her house. It's small, but cozy. She leads me into her black and white tiled kitchen, and sits me down at one of her black chairs. I put my arm up on the white table and she gets a wet cloth. When the cloth hits my skin it stings. She wipes away all the blood, smiles, and wraps it in gauze. Her hazel eyes always sparkle, she's so perky, it's annoying. "Are you tired?" She asks. I am but I can't sleep. I have this bad feeling in the pit of my stomach. I look at her, "Can you take me back to my house, I want to grab my phone." "Sure!" She gets up, grabs her keys off the table, smiles, and we walk out the door. We get in her black mustang and start driving. She doesn't live to far from me. When we pull into the parking lot Brett's car's there, and Ben's, I knew it. "You stay here!" I yell at a confused Becky as I run into my room. I throw the door open and see Ben, bloody on the floor and Brett, with his gun. He points it at me. "Thought you'd never be back baby." I can see a smile behind that gun. I take a deep breath, "Don't you dare call me baby." His mouth drops and he's speechless, for once. "Brett, I'm sick and tired of you treating me like crap! I never did anything to you! But if you're going to kill someone, make it me and not Ben." I run over to Ben to see if he's ok. I put my hand on his cheek and see a black eye starting to form. Brett walks over and I look up at him, "You have no right to hurt anyone, especally Ben. He didn't do a damn thing to you." Brett's still speechless. "You don't have the guts to pull the trigger." Says Ben weakly. Brett laughs, "Oh really?" The next thing I hear is a gunshot ringing through my ears. I feel Ben go limp. "No, no! Ben no!" He mumbles a little bit. Blood starts to leak through his shirt. I wrap my  arms around his weak body and his eyes meet mine. As they close for that last time I realize I just lost the person I love.
