This is my second song I wrote. It's not completely done but its getting there. Anyway, hope you enjoy. Im open for suggestuions and comments, even criticism.

They hit me with a loud smack.

Can't they see what their words do to me,
Can't they see I'm hurt.
Don't they know I have feelings too,
I come crashing down with the things they blurt.

I wanna escape this reality,
wanna go back to being me.
I wanna escape this reality,
wanna let go, and be set free.

I look in the mirror and what do I see,
A fake girl, just a wannabe.
Looking at her, she's covered in lies.
makeup is used to hide her cries.

She used to be smiles and happiness,
Used to think life was great.
Now she has too much baggage to carry,
She just wants to clean her slate.

See, this is what society does,
Slowly tears you apart.
Destroys everything you love,
Starts taking things close to your heart.
