I remember how my mom used to tell me that in Nigeria, she visited zoos and indoor waterparks and fast food restaurants and all of that stuff as a kid. Bet you people didn't even know they have so many things that are similar to the country's many wittians live in. They have cities and sky scrapers and doctors that could put many doctors we know about to shame. Stop putting my parents continent down. It's not just everywhere. Just because you see things on tv doesn't mean sh/t.

WHY THE HELL IS IT THAT PEOPLE HAVE TO USE KIDS IN AFRICA AS THE ONLY PLACE WHERE PEOPLE SUFFER?! My family, we're from Nigeria we can't fricken STAND how people only use africa. I mean why can't you name a situation or better yet, a country or even better, A TOWN?! I mean Africa is a mothereffin continent! There are so many places where there isn't poverty. How do you just name the whole continent as an example? It's just so ignorant for people to say this crap. And I don't mean ignorant as stupid. I mean ignorant as in "lack of knowledge".

It's because compared to kids in Africa, most of our problems don't really matter as much. Unless they're life threatening or something like that. I'm sorry, but being unpopular or not as tiny around as other girls doesn't really compare to orphaned kids who are starved and forced to work.

i do that. but only to people who aren't grateful for what they have. i HATE when people throw away food. i know so many people who eat less than half their food and just throw their food in the trash. they dont offer it to anybody, don't save it for later, just throw it away. it me off cause there are so many people who have to do so much to get food . so yeah, but i get you.

I agree with you to a point. All you can do is look at the little commercials on TV and not think twice about it. But when it's people you know personally it makes it kind of different.... But I do agree with this, people need to stop comparing. But also we should be grateful for everything and not wallow in self-pity all the time. Because if we do, what are they gunna do? Just drop dead? Nahh, life goes on.

i could not have said it more perfctly myself. yes we all know some of them they have a hard life, but they arn't the only ones who suffer. i also hate the comparison because we have starving children who have a difficult life in our country, and i think instead of giving ALL of our prayers to the kids in africa, we should also be helping out the kids in our own country.

Our problems are just as big as theirs?
Some are being drugged and used as soldiers. Not just for Kony.
The kids will be scarred for life because they HAVE to kill people, including their own parents.
33 million primary school-aged children in Sub-Saharan Africa do not go to school.
Not to mention thousands of kids are on the street starving because of the wars in their countries killing off their family.
So really, you getting your period during class, failing a test, someone calling you one mean name, your parents taking away your phone, how is all of that worse than what the kids in Africa face?
No, I think not. If you answered yes to that question you are an insensitive person.

You all need to chill. Your doing exactly what he didn't want, making his problems and the rest of ours seem like they don't matter at all. You can't compare the two, because we AREN'T the kids in Africa. So we don't have those problems, but our problems are BIG too. CHILL THE OUT.

i don't think you should compare it either. but you know why? because while we all complain about not having what we want for supper, or having a crush on someone who doesn't like us back, people are DYING from starvation, disease, or some other terrible thing. i bet it'd be alot easier to walk a mile in our shoes instead of theirs. i know we have problems, but come on. put it in their prospective.
