Chapter 14
Avalaya

Pure bliss. That's what I felt, I felt like a fan girl who just met her idol, I was over the moon. I was kissing him. I was kissing Carson. We slowly pulled apart and I was scared, I was scared that Carson would reject me. I couldn't talk after all and so I ran. Well, I galloped off- still on the horse. I didn't know where I was going. I went to hit my left foot twice to stop but instead did my right foot. Lacy sped up and I clutched her in fear. I tapped her belly with my left foot twice to make her stop. Lacy came to a stop suddenly, throwing me off her. It was the kind you see in the movies and I fell right into a river. Sh/t. That was my first thought. I could feel the water drenching my clothes. I swam to the edge of the river, thankfully the current wasn't bad. I slumped onto the cold floor, Lacy was by a tree. Tears flooded my eyes. ''Avalaya,'' I heard that perfect voice yell. I weakly turned. Carson was riding Ashes and heading in the direction I was. My first instinct was to run, run away from my problems but my legs wouldn't work. I couldn't bring myself to move. 

''Avalaya,'' Carson breathed once he got close to me. ''Avalaya, I'm sorry.'' Why was he sorry? He didn't do anything. I shook my head. ''No, Avalaya, I didn't mean to kiss you- it's just, I really like you.'' I blushed. ''I honestly want to be with you and it'd mean the world to me if you went on a date with me... so yes or no?'' I nodded, enthusiastically. He slipped his top off, revealing his well defined muscles. He had a yummy 6 pack that I wouldn't mind licking cream off. I shook my head, getting the thoughts out. ''Here,'' he handed me his t-shirt. ''Put it on because you're going to freeze.'' I slipped his top on, loving the feel of wearing his clothes. We rode back home in comfortable silence. Once we got inside, I went for a shower and after we sat down on the couch and watched a movie. I wasn't paying much attention to the movie, the only thing I was paying attention to was the handsome guy who had his arms around me. I wondered if Carson would break my heart. Would he? Would he leave me for somebody prettier, somebody who could speak? Of course he would. 

''You know, Ava, I'll never hurt you,'' he said quietly as if reading my thoughts. 

I quickly got some paper writing, 'Promise?' on it. I felt pathetic, I did but it'd make me feel better if he just said that simple word. 

Carson shook his head, ''No.'' 

I gulped and write, 'ok.' I turned my attention back to the TV. 

''I said no because all promises are, are lies in disguise.''
