The final bell rang, and everyone rushed out the
class room, as Mrs. Russell was saying her last words for the day.
Carmen was already calling her mom to see if she could spend the
night and Saturday night at my house. I was letting Carmen talk to
her mom in privacy, by walking away a little bit. "Hey
babe!" Alec yelled in the distance, I looked back at Carmen,
who gestured him to go away. Alec hold both hands in confusement. I
made the phone gestured, and he accepted it with a nod, and walked
closer. When he finally got closer, he asked, "Who is she
talking to?" "Her mom. Asking about spending the night
this weekend." I explained. "Well, that plan is totally
busted.." she said coming up behind us with a sigh.
"WHAT?! I guess you guys can't come then" I said with
a sympathetic look "Just kidding!" she said with a
chuckle, and I nudged her. "Ugh! Loser!" I said with a
playful grin. "Haha c'mon." she invited. Carmen and I
said our goodbyes to Alec, Carmen giving him a kiss, and me hugging
him. He hurried to the car. We had to hurry to get home. I was
already five. It takes about thirty minutes to get home, so we had
to hurry. It would probably take two hours just to take a shower,
do my hair, makeup and find the right dress and shoes. I was so
interested on what I was going to have to do for the next two
hours, and getting to the car, that I hadn't noticed that
Brandon was right in front of me, talking to his friends. When I
had, we were already on the floor, he was on his back, his arms to
his head, and I was on top of him. I looked like a complete fool!
"Uh, um, I'm SO sorry. Honestly!" I proclaimed.
"It' OK. Its fine." e=he said with a light chuckle.
He had a smile on his face. I finally got off him, and offered him
a hand, as he offered it, and I helped him up, I looked back at his
friends. I gave a whistle, and gestured to my eyes. "Um, last
time I checked, my head wasn't on my butt. So give me a little
respect and STOP LOOKING AT IT!" I gave a little sarcastic
smile, I heard to different chuckles. I looked back and saw that
one was Carmen, and the other was from Brandon. I blushed a little.
"Heh, if you excuse me, I gotta go. Gotta get ready for our
date." I said with a flick of the hair. I could hear the guys
in the back ground cheering on Brandon. They were asking him
questions like, "You got a date with Emily canon?" or
"Dude!? You got a date with the hottest girl in school!?"
when I heard that second one, I could feel my face blushing. I
wasn't that pretty! I looked at Carmen, assuming she heard that
to, and she gave me a 'I told you so' look, and I just
shook my head with a smile and mouthed "shut up!" After
that, we finally got to the car. "Ugh, I hit my head when I
bumped into Brandon." I said, holding my hand to my forehead,
and had a face of disgust. "Haha, I bet, you guys had a pretty
bad hit..." Carmen said. "I can't wait to get
home..." •₪• I was in the kitchen preparing hot milk and
honey. "Want some?" I said gesturing to the milk and
honey sitting next to my arm. "Huh? Oh. Yeah, sure" I
poured some milk into the pot and drowned the honey in the milk,
and began to stir it around. "Why aren't you talking much,
Carmen?" I asked. "I don't know... Shoot! I forgot
about clothes! Um, can I use some of your pajamas?" she asked.
"Yeah! Go ahead!" she ran upstairs, and went to change. a
few minutes she came down, the milk and honey was already finished
and poured into the mugs. I slid one over to Carmen, "So are
you ready to GET ready?" she said with a smile. I giggled, and
we went upstairs to my room. We lied the mugs down, as we got the
makeup out, it was already six, we only had just two hours. I went
into my bathroom, and toke off my clothes and slipped into my robe,
and slippers. When I opened the door, Carmen already had an eye
shadow brush in one hand, and in the other, eye shadow, with a
smile on her face.
