My name is Amanda. I'm your average 14 year old girl.
There's nothing special about me. I'm not very pretty,
and i don't have any outstanding talents.
I've never had a boyfriend, and I'm not exactly what you
would call popular.
I had grown up in a small town, and had a simple life.
My whole school career I had blended in,
always too scared to put myself out there.
But, this summer was going to be different. I was going to
stand out, no matter what it took.
I was going to be a freshman at a huge highschool, and I was
determined to shine.
I was tired of blending in all of my life. I wanted to be
somebody.
"Count me in." Was all it took, that simple
phrase changed everything.
That's where my whole life turned around. One simple
decision tore me away from my friends,
family, and turned me into someone even I didn't recognize.
Who was I? What had I become?
But the real question was,
Could I change it all
around?
