I never really understood why we say "bless you" when someone sneezes. Its like saying thank you so much and bless you for spitting on me...

it was when the plague was around in middle ages and if you got sick, u were gonna die. so if you sneezed they would "bless you" before you died

In older times people thought that when you sneezed your soul was trying to escape, or owuld leave your body, if you didn't say bless you.
lol one time this guy sneezed right into my hair.... I was not a happy camper

wrong, it's because when you sneeze, you are closest to death. therefore, you say "bless you" to 'save' the person, blessing them.
