The Ever After
Intro
“Get down from
there you idiot! You are going to fall and break so
mething. You know you can’t get hurt, softball is
starting!”
That was Sarah yelling at me. She always yells when I do
something stupid. She is like the protective friend, but
she only does it with good intentions. I knew she was right
anyways. Softball was starting in about a week, and I was
the best player in the league. I couldn’t afford to
get hurt right before the seasons started. That would ruin
the entire season.
“Are you just going to stand there or
are you going to come down from there before you
fall?!” Sarah yelled from the ground. I was on my
roof hiding from my brother.
“Sorry! I will be right
down! I promise!” I yelled back to her in a happy
tone. I started to walk to the edge of the roof so I could
gently jump down when I noticed my shoe was untied. I bent
down to tie it when I started to slip. I tried to catch
myself but I had nothing to grab on to. I tried to yell for
Sarah to catch me but I couldn’t make the words come
out. The next thing I knew I was falling off the edge of
the roof.
Then I hit the ground.
