My sister is going on her first date, with a guy who's had a crush on her for a year and a half, but never had the courage to tell her. They are going to prom together.
I am honestly so so so happy for her. After years of thinking that she was ugly, and that no one could ever love her, and that she was going to end up dying alone with cats, she's being proven wrong.
She's been my older sister, the one I look up to, the one I go to for advice, the older sister I try to be to my younger sister. She's the one who makes me laugh harder than any of my friends, who understands me and listens to what I say. She's the one who pulls me out of my slumps when no one else can. She knows me better than anyone else. No one understands our relationship but us and my little sister.
Even though she never believes it, she is truly beautiful, and I love her so, so much.
