A Week Later...

I sat on the couch in my room, watching baseball with Tyler when my phone buzzed. I glanced at the screen and Abby's name appeared.

Abby: Hey Payton! <3

Payton: Hey Abby. Hows it going with Emmett ;)

Abby: Gr8, he asked me out last night and he kissed me, ahhhh! So happy right now :)

Payton: Omg! So glad for you babe <3 Just tell him not to hog my bestie :)

Abby: I'm waiting for you to tell Tyler that! Your always with him :(

Payton: I'm sorry it's just you know he wanted to be with me and I just can't say no to him

Abby: Fine :(

Payton: Anyways could I ask you something? I'm sure it's nothing but it's weird.

Abby: Yeah sure anything <3

Payton: What's the latest you've been on your period?

Abby: A day. Why, how long have you been late?

Payton: A few days. I'm never late should I be worried?

Abby: O_o Wait a min. Pay, didn't you and Tyler do things after the party?

Payton: Yeah so?

Payton: You don't think I might be pregnant do you?!

Abby: Oh god. I hope not. I'm going to kick Tyler's baseball playing butt. Did he use protection?

Payton: Obviously not, why else would I be worried?!

Abby: Okay okay sorry Pay, I will be right there i'm going to CVS, getting pregnancy test 4 u, stay tight love <3

Payton: Okay thankyou c u soon 

I put my phone in my lap and glanced at Tyler. What was I thinking? I wasn't ready, I shouldn't have done it with him. Oh god. If i'm pregant, my life is over. Would Tyler leave me? He said he loved me but does he love me enough to have a baby so young? I'm not ready to be a mother! There's always abortion or adoption. Or maybe i'm not pregnant. Maybe i'm just over-reacting and i'm just a little late on my period. It's nothing to worry about. All these thoughts raced through my mind, filling my head with fear. I felt like I was going to pass out any minute.

"T-tyler?" He turned and looked at me worridly when he saw my pale face.

"Payton, Payton what's wrong?!"

"Don't worry about it j-"

"Don't worry about it?! Payton how can I not worry about you, I love you. I don't want anything to happen to you."

"That answered my question." My stomach turned and I ran to the bathroom in the bedroom. I locked the door to keep Tyler out and I sat near the toliet. I felt my face turn pale and I threw up in the toliet. Lovely. If I wasn't pregnant what was this?

"Payton, babe, are you okay? Open the door."

"No Tyler, i'm fine. Just stay there don't worry."

"Payton open the door!" I sighed and flushed the toliet then brushed my teeth before opening the door.

"What happened?"

"Nothing."

"Payton come on, I know when you lie to me. Are you having a bad day, are you on your period or something?" I groaned and looked up at him.

"No. That's the problem."

"What are you talking about?"

"I think I-" Thankfully, I was cut off by the sound of the doorbell downstaires. 

"Um, be right back." I opened my bedroom door and ran downstaires, dashing to the door. I opened it quickly and saw Abby. I heard footsteps from upstaires which meant Tyler was coming downstaires.

"Thanks Abbs, hurry Tyler's coming and I didn't tell him yet just in case i'm not pregnant. But I just threw up and I have an odd craving for peanut butter so looks like i'm screwed." I ran my hand through my hair in frustration for being such an idiot. This was a big mistake.

"Payton?" 

"Let's go!"

"Gimmie a second Tyler!" I grabbed the CVS bag and dragged Abby inside, shutting the door behind me. I tugged her to the front of the bathroom door and told her to wait there. I pulled the test out of the box and waited a minute. After desperatley waiting for the test to get results after use, it finally got the outcome. I held it tightly in my palm in fear. Abby yelled from outside the bathroom and I opened the door then faced her.

"I can't look."

"I'll do it for you."

"I'm scared."

"But we have to know." I sighed and slowly handed the stick to Abby who quickly took it and scanned over it.
