"Pack up your bags, where going to Cali.," my mom said as
she typed away on her laptop. "Your kidding, right? Why are we
going to Cali,.?" I asked as I looped my hair around my
finger. "We have enough money, and I've always wanted to
live there. And winter's coming, so its great timing."
says my mom as she turns off her computer. "Wait, were
livin' there?" I shrieked. "Yeah. Well just for a few
months. We'll come back next summer," says my mom.
"We better! I can't leave my friends forevah," I say
dramatically. "I know, and I don't expect you girls to.
We'll leave now and come back next July," says my mom as
she gets up from the coach. "Okay. When we leavin?" I
ask. "In two days, that'll give us enough time to pack up,
I think. You can leave some things here you won't care
about seeing until next summer. We don't need to bring
furni., because were staying with Jenna." Jenna is my
mom's sister, and my favorite aunt. "Yay! I'm gonna go
tell Kirsten," I run to the back of the trailer where Kirsten
is listening to her ipod on her bed. "Were moving to Cali., in
two days. So get packin!" I say as I get a suitecase from the
closet and start throwing in my clothes. "For real? Why?"
she asks as she takes out her ear buds. "Mom says we are
because we have enough money. But were coming back next summer.
Were gonna stay with Aunt Jenna," I say as I throw in a pair
of my flip flops. Its cold here, but it'll be warm in Cali.
"Oh, cool. But your friends are gonna miss us, and your
boyfriend." says Kirsten as she gets up and starts helping me
pack. "I know. I'm gonna miss Mason so much! But there
isn't anything I can do about it. Do you think we can do a long
distance relationship?" I asks my sister. "I don't
know, probally. I know you really love him, sis." says Kirsten
as she plops in a few shirts. "I'm gonna call him, be
right back." I leave the room and go to the bathroom and call
Mason. "Yeah?" he says. "Hi sweetie. I need to talk
to you, and its important." I say. "What is it,
boo?" he asks. "I'm going to Cali. I won't be
back until next summer," I say as I sit on the toilet lid.
"What? Why?" he sounds sad. "Because my mom wants
to. But I still want to date you," I say. "I still want
to date you, too. When would you be leaving?" Mason asks.
"In two days. You could maybe come see me tomorrow. I'm
gonna have a good bye party with my friends," I say.
"Okay, I'll ask my mom. That's too bad your leaving
for eight months." I sigh. "I know. I'll miss you
tons. I gotta get off here, but text me, okay?" I say into the
phone. "Alright. Love you boo!" he says. "Love you
too, boo." then I hang up the phone and go back into the
bedroom. "Were gonna have a good bye party tomorrow with our
friends and Mason. And you can invite who ever you want too,"
I say. "Okay, I'm excited. Are you sissy?" Kirsten
asks me. "Yeah, I am. But nervous." I reply. "Me
too, but it'll be good for us to get out of here for a while.
Did you tell anyone else?" Kirsten asks me. "Nah,
I'll let you," I say with a smile. "Really? Why
me?" Kirsten asks. "Because telling people is hard.
You'll find out," I say as I throw in a few more clothes.
"Okay, I'll tell everyone to come over tomorrow too. Who
should I tell?" I think for a minute. "Angel, Macey,
Brittney, Madison, and Alexis. And I already told Mason, and you
can invite Emma and Tarra if you want. And Byran. I know you like
him," I say. Kirsten blushes. "Okay, I have to make some
phone calls." then she disapeers out into the
hallway.
