A
brick doesn’t talk. Its too smart for that for it knows
that whatever it will say it will be prosecuted for it. We
think it is common sense that a brick can’t talk because it
is not a “living thing” by society’s
standards. It doesn’t breathe or eat anything. So
it outsmarts us again by not creating air pollution and it
can’t gain any weight. A brick is smart, unlike
humans. It has no sense of self-pride because after all it is
a brick. A brick is strong and dependable we use bricks to
make shelters to protect us because we can trust them not to tell
everyone about personal things. I consider myself somewhat
like a brick. I don’t talk too much nor do I eat a
lot. No I don’t consider myself strong or smart though
because I am not going to lie to myself and say I am when I know I
am not. I try to be there for people but I do have things of
my own to deal with. I don’t know how I got the idea to
write this. Was it out of pure boredom? This poem will
probably make you go to sleep so have some good dreams if you
do. I guess bricks are just bricks and I am just some crazy
person who gives them personality traits.
