I don't get
valentines day. It's a day when people treat their significant other like a prince/princess, but shouldn't you do that every day? If you really cared about someone or if someone really cared about you, they would treat you like a prince/princess everyday. Not just on valentines day.

It actually is a holiday, it's just a bit fuzzy on which Saint was being honored. It was started by Pope Gelasius I during the Roman festival of Lupercalia.
If people treated their significant other like a prince/princess every day, I'm sure they would get quite sick of each other really fast. It's just a special day to celebrate love, like an anniversary.
