Only a gymnast
can
handle 4+ hour long practices every night.
learns to accept those grossly rough hands.
prefers a leotard to regular clothes.
feels more confident on the beam than in the classroom.
stays up until 2 a.m. to finish homework after
practice.
looks forward to being in that hot, sweaty gym.
is used to getting large amounts of skin ripped off her
hands.
can fall on something dangorous a million times, and keep getting
up for more.
is willing to risk terrible injuries just to keep going.
is always in some sort of pain.
can call her coaches her second parents.
can trust her team with everything.
can relate to another gymnast.
can love the smell of chalk.
