part 14.
"It's normal for someone to do this.. It's not
just him.. don't take it personally Leslie.." He said
cautiously, noticing my eyes watering up. I just nodded.
"well... atleast he remembers." He sighed. I just nodded,
and looked over at Jessie, who seemed much calmer than before.
"guys.." The doctor said to all the other doctors and
nurses, then nodded towards the door. They all exited, as I walked
over to him.
"you're...you're not Lydia.." Jessie said
confused.
"I know that Jessie..." I said slowly. Trying to sound as
calm as possible.
"but, they said that they were bringing me Lydia..." He
trailed off, and just starred at me, in confusion. It almost seemed
like I looked familiar to him, but he couldn't actually name
me.
"you have very pretty eyes no name.." He smiled. I
chuckled.
"thanks.." I almost whispered.
"who.... are you." He asked slowly.
"I'm your girlfriend... Leslie." I sighed.
"but.... I'm dating Lydia.." He said, even more
confused than before. I dug in my pocket for my phone and pulled up
a picture of me and him.
"no you're not Jessie.." I sighed and showed him the
picture. He starred at it, but said nothing. He handed me back the
phone as everyone walked in. Johnny came over to him first.
"hey, Johnny!" Jessie almost cheered. I looked down,
biting my lip, trying not to cry.
"you... remember me?!" Johnny said astonished. Jessie
nodded happily.
"I remember all of you.. except... her.." Jessie slowly,
and looked over at me with hurt eyes.
"I'm... really sorry.. I.... wish I remembered you...
you're very sweet... and beautiful.. but.... I don't know..
I'm dating Lydia.." He shrugged. I inhaled deeply, but
couldn't hold it in anymore, I burst. I ran out of the room
hysterical. Once I was outside, I sat on a stone bench, bent over,
with my head in my thighs, and my hair drapped over my legs. I was
crying hysterically with no way to stop.
"Lez!" Johnny screamed,I shot my head up, my hair flying
in bunch of different directions. The brisk air must have tinted my
cheeks a deep pink by now, and his ears were starting to turn a
rosey pink.
"what.." I asked sniffling, and whipping my face with my
sweat shirt sleeves.
"I... I'm so sorry he doesn't remember you.." He
said slowly, walking over to me.
"It's fine." I said sharply. I wasn't looking for
anyone's pitty at this point.
"no It's not. You have gotten closer with him than any
other person in this group.. and now I feel like, without him
knowing about you, or remembering any of your memories, you're
just gunna.... stop being friends with us.." He shrugged.
"can you read minds.." I asked quietly with a light
smile. I cleared my throat and threw my hair up in a high pony
tail.
"just about.." he laughed.
"but, just because he doesn't remember you, doesn't
mean we don't. We all love you already, Leslie... we..
don't want you leaving, and being alone again.." He said.
I just shrugged.
"there's just.. no point in trying.. no matter how many
times anyone tells him.. he's just not going to remember
me.." I insisted.
"Lies.." He said doubtfully. I just rolled my eyes, and
looked away from him.
"stop thinking so negitively." he sighed, frusterated
"sorry. Its kinda hard not to do when my own boyfriend doesnt
remember me, but remembers his ex." I yelled. He just starred
at me.
"thats who Lydia is?" he said, in a whisper.
"yes!" I yelled again, then instantly started to cry
again. He just sat next to me on the bench, and put his arms around
me.
