ya'know, one of my closest
friends tried over dosing on pills over the
summer. he
passed up and woke up the next morning, disappointed. he told
his girlfriend, who thought it was ridiculous and dumped
him. then he told me. instead of sitting here when it
happened, asking for prayers and fav's to "make him
feel better", i got off my @ss, walked over to his house,
and walked him back to mine, in an old t-shirt and shorts that
were too big, dripping wet from running out of the pool. i then
cancelled all my plans for the day and spent the rest of the
day with him, watching youtube videos and eating vanilla ice
cream, trying to cheer him up. i like to think that i did. but
as much as you think having a bunch of strangers care will help
your friend, it won't. you have to remind them that
everyone that's important, their family and friends, still
love and care about them, and would miss them beyond
belief. That's
what will save them from
suicide, not you getting a top
quote.
