Hi. I'm an ugly quote. I'm not fancy, lavish, or colorful. No one will probably like me. That's okay. As long as you read me, I'll get my point across. Okay, so lots of kids are bullied everyday. Whether it be for race, sexuality, weight, or just because the bully doesn't like them. What do people do? Nothing. An occasional person may stand up for the victim, but this doesn't happen often. I have a friend who was attacked a couple weeks back for being gay. He was jumped. Didn't even see it coming. But you know what? He re-cooped. He made a you-tube video speaking out against bullying. That made me realize how real it is. I've never really been bullied except for being called fat once in 7th grade. The words hurt for a little while. I got over it. Then recently I was looking in the mirror, thinking I look really fat. That girl's voice from 7th grade year seemed to pop back into my head right then; as if she had just called me fat all over again. I ended up in tears before the end of the night. People: words and actions stick. You may think that "they'll get over it" or "I was just joking". Why do you think Jamey Rodemeyer ended up committing suicide? He was bullied. Joking or not, don't say things. And no, they probably won't get over it. Mean things stick with you. Stop bullying. Stand up against it. Save a life. ♥
