Nails: Gel vs.
Acrylic
This one's for us
short-nailed gals. You want long nails but you don't
want to grow them. Here's the scoop on Gel vs
Acrylic.
If you're going for short-term, you'll probably want
acrylics because they're less expensive. However,
acrylics will make your nails kind of icky when you take them
off, and with long-term wear, they can thin out your nail
beds.
Gels are great for long-term, but they're a little
pricier. They're strong and won't harm your nails
as much, but require fills every 2-4 weeks.
I'd say if it's only for a little, go acrylics, but if
you plan on them lasting, go for
gel.
