A six year old girl walked down the beach,

Clutching her mothers' hand.

The young girl bent down and picked up a shell.
"This one is my favorite!" She told her mother.

Her mother looked at the shell. It was broken, cracked, half missing, and dirty.
The mom bent down and picked up a complete, un-cracked, clean shell.

"Her honey, take this one." The mother said.

The young girl examined the shell,  then shook her head.

"I don't like it."  she said grasping her shell.

"Why? That one is all beat up!"

The girl smiled down to her shell.

"Because it's not perfect! And as you always say, imperfection is beautiful."

Her mother smiled.

That girl was me.

And till' this day, I still have that shell to remind me, that

i am not perfect, no one is!
And even if you have a few cracks, you ARE beautiful,
and to someone, somewhere, you mean so much to them.
