It hit the east coast a little harder
than I think we all expected.
Especially here in New York. My aunt, uncle, and
two cousins(they're 15 and 8) lost everything. The
inside of their house flooded with 6 feet of water
while they were all sleeping upstairs, leaving them
trapped up stairs all day without any food but a single
box of cereal. They lost their entire living room,
kitchen, family room, dining room, and garage. Both of
their cars flooded with water up to the steering
wheels, ruining both of them. They lost every single
pair of shoes they own. Besides all of that their yard
flooded 6 1/2 ft . Meaning the water covered their
above ground pool, their lawnmower, four wheelers, and
their entire pool deck and porch. Their house is
condemned un liveable and they can no longer live
there. Right now, they have nothing, no
cars, no food, no home, not even a pair of shoes to put
on their feet.

I am from Long Island, and wanted to leave so badly but my family said it would be nothing, and we had nowhere to go anyway. So anyway I live with my grandma and she sleeps in our attic like room, so I stayed with her and our roof was shaking so badly I thought it was going to collapse. Best wishes to your family, if they are from Long Island I think I know where, it was really bad there
