At just that
moment Tiff burst into the room. “Who was
that?” she asked, again sounding, well,
worried.
“Just
Roni, why?” I asked curiously.
She sighed a
sigh of relief, “Well, I forgot to mention one minor detail
when I was explaining myself.”
Oh no!
“Well wanna tell me this one detail then?” I urged
her.
“Okay,
so, Austin was venting when he was trying to convince me to tell
him what was wrong, even if it was really nothing,” she
started.
“Alright and?” I pressed once
again.
She looked
down and away from my face, and I knew she was being sincere,
while she replied, “He was talking about how Mattox and
Easton don’t like him and how they are rude to him. I
had no idea what to respond to all of that so I just stuck with
‘You should probably ignore him or just
don’t let him get to you.’ Be honest Tay, does
that sound too girly?”
It kinda did,
but it seemed to work in this situation. And truthfully, if
it were actually me there, I would have probably said the same
exact thing. “Let me put it this way, it isn’t
something most guys would say–“ she cut me
off.
“Damn! I knew it,” she
whispered, more to herself than me.
“You
didn’t let me finish. However, if I had been in that
situation I would have said the same thing,” I made her
look at me. I smiled at her and let her know that it would
all be fine.
