The only medicine you knew was cough syrup,
Boys only gave you cooties,
The only debate over race was to see who was the faster,
Getting hurt was only skinned knees,
Your parents were your heroes,
You didn't know what rumors were,
When you wished it was for new toys not a new boy,
The only way to get high was on a swing,
When staying out late was being outside while it was dark,
When you stayed home from school because you wanted to sleep not to
avoid people.
