The Right Way #49
We
walked outside and saw there was a train of private cars waiting
for us. Ryan's mom really hooked us up for this trip! Ryan
and I, with Natasha and her fiance, hopped in one. We quickly
sped off toward the resort while Natasha and I gossiped about the
wedding and the boys listened silently.
As soon as we pulled up and stepped out
of the car, everyone's mouths dropped. To the ground. We
could've caught flies in our mouth, but there weren't
any.
The resort was beautiful, huge from what
I can tell based on the stone circle driveway. We walked to the
registration desk as many bellhops took care of our bags. We
quickly signed in and decided on the rooming arrangements.
Natasha and I would be sharing a room, while Ryan and her fiance
were staying in the connecting room next door. Our parents
didn't object, thank God.
We went upstairs and dropped off our
stuff, changed into our suits, and headed down to the pool. There
were many people there already, but we quickly found 4 chairs
next to each other and set up.
As soon as my towel was spread out and
my flip flops were off, Ryan and I jumped in. We spent the next
few hours tanning and swimming, and I worked up an
almost-tan.
Natasha hopped out and checked her
clock: 4:45. We had to go up and get ready for the first night
out! We quickly packed up and headed back up to our rooms. Ryan
wrapped his arm around my waist and quickly kissed me on the
cheek before we parted ways at our doors.
"See you in a little," he said
as he winked at me.
"Bye," I whispered. Natasha
and I opened our door and I tossed my stuff on the bed.
"You want to shower first?"
Natasha asked. I nodded and grabbed my shampoo and conditioner. I
headed into the bathroom and shut the door. I took a quick shower
and dried off. I wrapped the towel around myself and walked out.
Natasha quickly took my place.
I changed into a black pencil skirt and
a light pink flowy top. I grabbed my dangly earrings and necklace
and slipped into my black gladiator sandals. I applied my makeup
in the full length mirror behind the front door, all before
Natasha was done. Being nervous made me do things ten times
faster.
She hopped out as I got a text from Ryan. I
slid my phone open and looked at the text. Wanna take a
walk? I felt as if a basket full of butterflies had
opened in my stomach as I slowly opened the door and saw Ryan
there, waiting for me.
