(After we kissed, there was a knock at the door.)

*Ethan, you two up here?*(He smiled at me.)

“No mom, we’re in space. Come in.”(I smiled at his lameness and sat down on the bed as his mom came in the room.)

*Mariah, you’re mom called here looking for you.*

(I went blank. My mom? She hasn’t called me since she left. What could she want? Do I even want to call her?)

-M-my mom?

*Yeah, she called from your house phone, you should probably call her, does she know you’re here?*

-Yeah, I think so. I, well, I will, um, call her. Thanks for telling me. (His mom walked out, she had no clue what happened earlier on with my mom.)

“If you don’t want to talk to her, it’s understandable. &If you want to cry, I’m right here next to you.”

-Thank you, Ethan. Could we go to my house to get my clothes?

“Yeah, come on.”

~My heart was racing, I didn’t want to see my mom. If she was here, it would take so much for me not to cry and run the opposite way of my house. When Ethan pulled up to the driveway there was a blue truck in the drive. I know she didn’t have a truck.~

“I’ll come with you.” (It’s like he could read the fear in my mind I had.)

-That would be great.

~When we walked in no one was in our family room. Ethan walked in the kitchen and no one was there, either. Who’s truck was that? There’s only 4 more rooms. Ethan& I checked the guest room, the laundry room, and the bathroom. No one was there. I opened the door to my room where my mom had my picture of Ethan and I, staring out of my window. She heard the door squeak and turned around, it looked like she had been crying.~

-Wh-what are you doing here? (I couldn’t say it any nicer then that.)
