this happened to me the beginning of the year.
a couple jerks were calling me emo, and i let it get to me. i started dressing like a total prep. currently, i'm back to my original style. which is a mix of things. :P
just know you're not emo, tell them how annoying they are.
then ignore them, i know that's cliche advice, but it worked for me.
give them nooo reasons to call you emo.
