sometimes, i just sit in bed
with the lights off except for my
alarm clock and with his favorite songs playing in the
background, and just think. i rest my chin on my knees and i look
out, my eyes glazed over. everything about him floods my
mind...tears create a thin covering on my eyes and i blink to
keep them from falling down my cheeks. i smile even with the
tears threatening to flow down because i know that even if
i'm hurt or crying or in pain
he's happy and that's all that matters to me.
