I watched you walk across the stage, standing
tall and looking serious as always. I couldn't help grinning, you know, when
you turned and smirked at all of us with both your fists in the air. Of course,
I couldn't help crying--just a little, though, I wasn't
willing to make a
scene--when you walked off that stage, the envelope tucked under
your arm.
'This is it,' I realized, 'this is the
end.' I wouldn't see you at school anymore, you were
heading off for better things
while I was stuck here--for two more years. We could still
hang out, but it wouldn't be
the same; you are a man now...and I'm still just a kid.
None of that matters, though, not really.
We'd always have that time we spent together and, even if we rarely saw each
other, we could always hang out.
These years have been incredible, awesome,
words can't really describe it, and all I have to say is that I am so glad you
finally made it through one of the roughest parts of your
life.
