he smiled, took her hand and closed her eyes, and led her to his
car.
"i don't get it," she said. "answer the
question."
"i will," he assured her. "keep your eyes
shut."
when she opened her eyes, they were overlooking the beach.
"i mean the beach to you?" she asked, confused.
"get in the car," he smiled. this time he drove her to
the woods near
his house. she opened her eyes and saw green.
"i mean the leaves?" he then took her to a hill, had
her lay beside him
in the grass, staring up at the sky.
"i don't know," she said. "i don't get it. how
does this answer my question?"
he smiled at her. "i've been trying to show you the world,
because
that's what you mean to me."
