Cheerleading isn't a sport?
Do me a favor, try it ...

lift someone above your head and keep them sturdy while they twist their body in pretzel forms and smile at the same time. stand on someone's hands extended above them and keep up smiling and confidence while they throw you and you spin in one or two circles on your way down and trust them to catch you before you reach the ground. build up your strength until you pass out then do it once more. run, yell, dance, make it perfect, stunt jump tumble, and smilee all at the same time. get your homework finished then stay up late even if you're tired perfecting every motion for that extra ounce of wow. practice that toe touch, pike, dance, facial, herkie, stunt counts, back handspring, back tuck, layout, full, and everything until every ounce of sweat is out of you but then keep going. be there for your team, give it your all, never quit, work through tears, and forgive. take elbows, hands, fists, feet, and shoes to the face, stomach, neck, legs, eyes, and chest and shake it off and then keep going whether in the heat or the cold but still give it your all. pop every last motion just for that tenth of a point, keep your cool, tumble until you drop, occasionally spraining or breaking something. give it your absolute all, all at the same time and then when you do that.

Then tell me it's not a sport.

and just to make it clear, i'm not saying other sports aren't hard, or that cheerleading is harder then some sports, i'm just saying cheerleading IS a sport and it IS hard.

ttly. im a cheerleader and lots of people give me crap. but my beast friend hated it so i started making fun of dance aaaallll the time just like she did with cheerleading. i really like dance i just did it 2 c if she would stop. she did.☺ but ya, its soooo not fair!! im a flyer and its soooo not easy!!! especially with a clumsy bakspot! shes dropped me many times!
