Repunzel
#11
He had gorgeous blue eyes, and longish brown hair. When he smiled his eyes crinkled a little bit and showed off his dimples.
As I looked into those incredibly blue eyes, I couldn’t help but smile.
He smiled back at me and said “I just can’t believe you’re actually here.”
Just then, I felt suspicious again, before school. I felt my eyes narrow, no longer smiling I asked him “Well where else would I be?”
I studied him carefully, waiting for him to answer. He looked back, a small smile growing on his lips. He opened his mouth to reply, but the teacher walked into the room, cutting him off. I reluctantly turned towards the front of the classroom and listened to the old teacher at the front.
“Where have you been Charlotte?” whispered Dominic in my ear.
And that was the moment that I absolutely knew that he knew about me, about my life. I flinched away from him, not knowing whether I could trust him yet. I looked him in the eyes, and hissed back, “I don’t know.”
In a way, it was the truth. I honestly had no idea where that house was, and I wasn’t planning on finding out. I wanted nothing more to do with that house, or my father.
Dominic looked at me, obviously not convinced. “Please?”
He wasn’t even trying to pay attention to the teacher. Those blue eyes were completely focused on me. I sighed and looked away. Looking into those blue eyes, I just melted. And then it all started pouring out of me.
“I don’t know. I was living in a house in the middle of the forest with my father.”
I looked up at him shyly. He seemed confused, like it wasn’t something he was expecting.
“Your father?” He was frowning slightly, like he was trying to comprehend this.
“But Charlotte… Your dad’s dead.”
