Flowers of Despair...
Chapter Five~ Darla’s POV
I straightened up from my stance and looked away. It had suddenly got very hot so I unzipped my jacket, only to zip it up straight away when I remembered what I had inside my jacket. They boys gave me confused looks but I just shook my head. “Look, we didn’t mean to make a scene. I am just taking the girls here to ‘your’ concert.” I said pointing my finger at Bobby. “So we will be on our way. Apparently we aren’t allowed back here so we’ll walk to the front of the arena like good little ‘girls’.”
“No, no, wait. Here, come this way. I’ll lead you to the backstage doors that lead to the seats.” Bobby said with a smile that took my breath away. I was going to object until I looked him in the eye again. Dammit, stupid mate.
“Okay.” I said and walked behind the three boys with the girls.
“Darla, are you okay?” Diana mumbled. I knew the two boys in front could hear us so I pulled out my iPhone and typed my reply.
‘I think Bobby Jenkins is my mate’
‘oh em gee. This is totally cool. I think Xavier is mine and by the way Will was staring at Dakota, I’d say he is hers J’ she replied.
‘yeah, its good for you two but what about me. Yours are wolves, mine is human. Just me being who I am puts him in danger.’
‘oh yeah. I don’t know what to say. Sorry.’
I stopped replying and put my phone back in my pocket. I hadn’t realised we were inside the arena until I saw a bathroom sign. My guns were beginning to bug me so now was my chance to try and make them more comfortable. “Hey, umm, I’ll be back in a sec. I have to go to the ladies room.” I said gesturing to the door.
The boys nodded and stood there waiting while I turned on my heel and left. The girls came with me and as soon as the door was closed I sighed in relief. “I don’t know why you’re sighing for when they can still hear us. Oh and by the way, Will and Xavier are dictating us.” Diana said cocking her head in the direction of the boys.
“Oh well. My gu-uh, I mean, my umm packages were getting uncomfortable so I was just going to reposition them.” I said smiling lightly. They just nodded and I unzipped my jacket. No wonder they were uncomfortable, they had come out of there cases. I pushed them back in and zipped up my jacket.
I quickly glanced in the mirror and saw that I looked okay. I headed towards the door with an idea. “I forgot something from my car so I will be right back. Don’t wait for me, just go on inside.” I said gesturing towards the door.
“How will you find your way back?” Bobby questioned. We all gave him the ‘are-you-kidding-me’ look. “Oh yeah, never mind.” He said looking away with flushed cheeks. He was so cute when he blushed. Darla knock it off. You can’t get yourself wrapped up in him. It isn’t safe for him in our world. I thought to myself.
I sighed sadly while walking away. I must have done it pretty loudly because they all turned in my direction, including Bobby. I didn’t feel like explaining so I just walked off. I made my way to my car and popped the trunk. Once there, I lifted up my secret compartment and place my custom made 45 colts in their cases. Much better, don’t want to have to go to the bathroom again because of these babies.
Closing the boot and locking it, I made my way back inside. I followed my own scent back to where we had been and then in through a door that lead to the seats. I sat down in the front row in-between Dakota and Diana. This is going to be interesting. I thought to myself as I made myself comfortable. Hey, these seats recline.
