PART ONE
Luce's POV
Blake and I walked into the police station hand in hand.
I was literally shaking I was so scared.
“Excuse me miss, what are you here for?” The man at the desk asked me.
I took a deep breath.
“T-The police told me I should talk to Derek Sawyer.”
“Name?”
“Uh, Lucinda Prince.” I said. He nodded and shuffled through some papers.
“Sawyer is in his cell. You can go on back.” He pressed a button that made a loud buzzing noise and the iron door off to the right swung open, revealing a long corridor.
I started walking away when Blake tugged lightly on my hand.
“Are you sure you want to do this?” He asked, concern written all over his face.
“Positive.” I nodded. “You don’t have to come with me…”
“Let’s go.” He said gesturing toward the door.
My lips curled up into a smile.
We walked through the door and down the small hallway.
“Miss Prince?” A police officer at the end of the hallway said.
“That’s me.” I replied.
“His cell…” The officer held out his arm in front of the cell all the way at the end of the hall.
I took a deep breath and walked right up to the bars. Inside the cell a lonely figure looked up suddenly. I stared at him through the bars.
Without speaking Derek flung himself toward the cell bars. The sound almost made me scream but I held me ground. He was inches away from my face.
His face was angry, hiss yellow teeth and horrible breath almost made me gag, but I didn’t move a muscle.
Blake grabbed me around the waste and pulled me back a few feet.
“Luce what is the point of this?” He whispered in my ear.
“Closure. ” I said and pulled away from him.
Derek stared forward, his hands were wrapped around the bars. I could see the white of his knuckles.
“Look who it is.” Derek said, venom dripping with every word.
