"Man I am so tired"
"Man my mom has cancer"
"I said I was tired"
"You don't know what it's like to have to go through this. I lose sleep every night because I worry about her. Ya know. Have you ever had you mom in the hospital an hour away, not knowing what was wrong? Has your dad ever told you he didn't know if your mom was going to make it or not? Have you ever had to sit down with the doctors and have them tell you, its the largest tumor they have ever seen and they don't know what it is or why its there? Have you ever listened to doctors running down the hall to the dialysis room because the alarm to your mom is going off? Has your mom ever been taken in to emergency surgery to remove this tumor that is pressing on her organs making it hard to breath? Has your moms tummy ever filled up with fluid, slowly shutting down her organs? Has your moms kidney ever gone in to shock? Have you ever had to sit down with more doctors and have them tell you they are pretty sure its stage 3 or 4 ovarian cancer, and if it is she won't have a long time to live? Have you ever listened to them say its a possibility of stage 5 cancer? Have you ever sat in a hospital ICU waiting room for 3 hours waiting to find out if your mom was going to be okay? Have you ever seen your uncle and grandpa cry? Have you ever had the moment when the surgeon comes out and tells you they removed all of the cancer and the surgery went as well as it could have? Have you ever not been able to eat because you were so worried? Have you ever not eatin for 3 days? Have you ever spend 16 hours in a week in the car just going to Kansas City and home? Have you ever had to wait 5 days to find out what stage of cancer your mom was in? Have you ever seen the stress slowly start to build on your family? Have you ever had to pretend your strong, so your brother can try and be strong too? Have you ever been the one, nobody seems to be concerned about? Have you ever had the feeling when 2 weeks and 3 days really feels like 2 months? Have you ever had to take care of your mom, write down times she took her meds, make sure she had everything she needed? Shut up. When you have gone through all that, then tell me your really tired. Trust me. I, am tired."
