"You look beautiful tongiht." He said while pulling me into a hug.
"Awh, thanks! But watch it! You're going to smush the cake!" I yelled at him.
"I'm sorry! Why do you have cake anyways??" he asked me.
"Because I passed, duhh! You saw me drive up!!' I said laughing.
"Sorry, I can be a little slow sometimes." He smiled that dazzling smile at me.
"So what do you have planned for tonight??"
"Well, I was thinking a walk so we could just talk a little bit. We never seem to get the chance to do that. And then maybe have some dinner?"
"Sounds perfect!"
It's a pretty big lake so we walked around almost the whole lake. We were by the last stretch and we were turning a corner. We had been talking and laughing the whole way. It was so much fun and I honestly didn't want the walk to be over.
As we turned the corner, I saw a picnic blanket with food spread out all over it. Nick turned towards me and grabbed both my hands in between us.
"Ashley, I've known you for a while now, and we've been dating for almost as long, and you are the most amazing girl I have ever met. I don't think I've ever met a girl who doesn't cake on make-up, which I love that you don't. You make me feel great when I am around you and I'm always smiling. You are the only girl who's ever made me blush and I don't know how my life would be without you. I'm sorry about the whole thing with Matt, I was a jerk. But I am so glad I kissed you yesterday, because that was just perfect. You're perfect. We are perfect. This night is perfect, and Ash, I think I'm in love with you." He spilled out to me.
"Wow, that was a lot to take in, and you are so sweet. I'm glad I dated Jason, because if I didn't then he wouldn't have tried to mess with you, and you wouldn't have had to protect me and start an amazing relationship that has been the best of my life. You are the sweetest, most handsome, greatest boy I have ever met. And everything you said is true. except for one thing, I don't think I am falling in love with you, I know I am. Trust me, I'm over the Matt thing, it was no big deal. We are falling in love and that's all that matters to me right now." I said and gave him a sweet smile.
We were like eighth graders having our first kiss. We both leaned in slowly, and finally closed the space between us. We leaned against each other for a while before anything happened. Then we kissed. Amazing.
"You ready to eat baby?" He asked me.
"If it will make you happy."
"Then, let's stay here for a minute before we eat." And we stood there kissing for a couple more minutes. Yep, it's Love.
