(The Key) Chapter 2 - Part 1. "Katie, I can't take this. It's way to expensive, I'd feel guilty if i did." Ashley told her. "Well, what I was thinking was that you could take the key, and i would take the heart. Unless you wanted the heart." "Oh. That'd be better. You know how to handle expensive things. I think you takin' the heart would be a wise decision. Besides, i really do like the key a lot. Thank-you Katie, it's so beautiful!" Ashley squealed with excitement. "Ohh. This is the best part. Your key actually unlocks the heart. See the hearts a locket. Would've never known right? haha. It's epic." And just then her taking the key and putting it in the heart, she turned it to the right and took it out, leaving the top of the locket to open by itself revealing two of there favorite pictures. On the right side, it showed both Ashley and Kaytie together when they where camping in Vermont. "What about the left side? There's no picture. why?" She asked. "Well because were going to take a picture of us both wearing them for the first time." "Oh. Sweet. When? Now?" "Yeah! Say cheese!" "Cheese!" "Cheese!" Just then a bright white flash went off, and everyone at the table clapped and cheered. They then put the picture in the left side ever so gently, and closed it. "Okay. So guess what!! This set is the only one in the whole world. We custom made it. So no one else has anything like it!! Sweet right?!" She yelled to me. "Are you serious!? That's epic!!" *** All of a sudden, the hair on my neck stood straight up giving me the tingly feeling, and knocking me out of my memory. I looked around and spotted a very pretty girl staring right at me with huge cold brown eyes. Staring back I could tell that she had pin straight, jet black hair going down to her mid back. She had a flat face with a small nose. She couldn't of been 100% Chinese or Asian though. Just then the nasal sound of the bell rang signaling that third period was over. The girl got up abruptly and started for the door, right when she was turning the corner, the sun came shining in from the window revealing something shiny. I couldn't help but think that it looked exactly like the one Katie had worn for so many years. I convinced myself that i was going crazy. Only to later learn i was right the whole time and never once crazy. This is part 2 of chapter 2. Part 1 of chapter 2 is on my profile.
^_^ Untamed_darkness I'm sorry, but I'll never be perfect. I say the wrong things at the wrong time, and I'm just a mess-up. I still have urges to cut, but I stop myself from making a move, but I'm well close to cutting. Once again, I'm sorry I'll never be perfect.
(The Key) Chapter 1. Chapter 1 "Are you sure you want to go to high school and not a tech. Ashley?" "Yeah, Mom I'm sure." Her voice was so even that it sounded flat. Going to a technical school was a great opportunity and Ashley knew it. When you graduate senor year, you get a diploma and a license of what ever field you took. Ashley knew that kids worked there buts off to get into these kinds of schools and she was lucky enough to get accepted right away. She felt bad saying no to Clear Way Technical High School of Maine mostly because her older sister Skyler desperately wanted her to go. She hated letting her sister down. Skyler begged her for months on end about going to Clear Way, but she just wasn't feeling it. Ashley remembered her sister having fantasies about them both being in hair dressing together. They both got along for the most part. Although it didn't start out that way. When Ashley was young her sister use to hit her across the face or punch her. She would yell and scream in her face and even swear at her for the stupidest things. She would always blame everything on her, so she wouldn't get in trouble. Ashley never said anything to anyone because she knew if she told, her sister would hit her even more. After Skyler and there mom got into a fist fight, she went to residential. Residential is not Jail. Residential isn't as bad as Jail. At residential you stay with 12 girls and you go to school, and you have to learn how to get along. In Jail they just put you in a cell and forget about you. When Skyler got back from residential she and Ashley got along much better. She never hit or yelled in her face again. "Yeah, mom Tech's just not for me. I mean it sounds fun and all but I think high school's better for me." I do better in academics than anything else. She thought. "Okay, as long as your sure because once we get you registered for New Rosington High School, there's no going back." "I know mom." She went back upstairs to do her hair. While she was scrunching her curly "blond" hair the song "Soul Sister" came on the radio. It made her want to bawl her eyes out. This was her and Kaytie's song. Kaytie was her best friend. They were so close everyone called them sisters. Her stomach tightend up and her throat got dry when all the memories came flooding back. She couldn't resist it, the tears came pouring out running her mascara down her cheeks. She got up and slammed the radio off. Ashley missed her so much. They were always linked together. When you saw one you saw the other. She tried desperately to push the memories back into her mind but they still kept popping up. "Ash? Ya' ready yet?" Her mom yelled up the stairs. She tried to keep her voice as even as possible but when she yelled back down it was obvious she was crying. "What's wrong honey?" Her mom asked from the bottom of the steps. "Nothing. I just i uh stubbed my toe and it hurt really really bad. That's all." "Ohh. Yah that sounds like you." Her mom giggled. It did sound like something she would do. Ashley was clumsy. All she could think of when she was getting registered for high school was Kaytie and the accident. Know one knew the truth except for her. For months she's been hiding the real truth. She's the only one who knew what had happened for real. It haunted her every second of every day. No one ever thought that the towns Governor's daughter would die on his birthday.

So, I thought you should know something. I'm NOT okay with your MOM coming to get me for the concert. I want to go with YOU. You said I could go with YOU. And I was really looking forward to that. Kuz, guess what? I LIKE YOU. And I don't care that SHE likes you too. Sure, she's prettier and everything...I bet she's way better than I am. They always are. But...am I really so horrible that you asked your mother to pick me up, just so you wouldn't have to be near me?
I'm Not Coming Back I've done something so terrible I'm terrified to speak But you'd exspect that from me I'm mixed up And all these clouds In the rain Are just washing you out of my hair And out of my mind Keeping an eye on the world, so many thousands of feet off the ground I'm over you now, I'm at home in the clouds Towering over your head<3
