you will love the game they pretty much told you the rules
all you use is a stick googles and a mouth guard or at least i do hope you have funn

well 7th grade was mny first year playing it too and i could honestly say i had no clue what i was doing. well lets start off by saying there is 11 ppl on the field including the goalie. there is 3 backs(defenders) 3 middies(in the middle of the backs and the the wings) and then there are 4 fronts.(i dont really know what theyre called sorry) but the team tht has the ball first drives the ball. this is usually hit to another front. you then take it from there down to the goal. you cannot touch the ball with your feet. if you do the other team gets to drive the ball to another player of theyre team. these are just some of many rules. i would reccomend going on wikipedia and typing in field hockey. tht will give you much needed infformation. field hockey is my favorite sport and i will continue to play it in 8th grade. i hope i helped a bit and have fun (: reply
