   "You’re already halfway through the school year," echoed my mothers words through my mind, "there’s no need to slack off now."
   I picked up my report card for the fifth time this morning , taking a look at the 'F' I had gotten.
   Great job Joyce, I said to myself, just six more of these and the only thing your going to be doing is frying up Big Mac's at McDonalds.
   I put the report card in my backpack and headed for the kitchen.
   As usual, Maple (our one and a half year old dog) was the first to greet me -- and almost knocking me over. I calmed her down and peered into the refrigerator to see what was on Lé menu for breakfast. I ended up finding some sour milk and stale generic Cheerio's, which I threw away and made a gourmet omelet.
   While munching on my meal, I hear my little sister Haylee scream, startling me and almost dropping my fork.
   “Ja-ack,” I yelled, “she’s only nine, give it a rest!”
   “That was a happy scream!” he replied.
   “What are you five? No your nineteen. I think its time you get some friends your age.”
   “I do have friends, and they’re my age too.”
   “That’s a shocker…”
   After about ten seconds of silence he asked me a question that was even cliché for his girlfriend, who apparently knew more about him than 'any other person out there'.
   “So are you going to finish that?”
   I looked down at my plate, not even realizing I stopped eating.
   “Actually no, you can have it. And what’s with the small talk?”
   “I thought I was losing touch with my sister, and I’m actually happy of that now. You really changed Joyce. I mean you have a new snobby click and even failing grades. The old you would never flunk a class. And whatever happened to Aubrey and Lori and those twins?”
   “Jack why do you care? Those girls were backstabbers and --” I paused. “how do you know about my ‘F’?”
   “Because I’m your brother and I don’t want what happened to me to happen to you . . . and mom told me during dinner when you were over Ashli’s.”
   “Well I appreciate that you care but I’m not going to fall with the wrong people.”
   I walked back to my room, turned on my computer, and changed into some jeans and a Hershey’s hoodie. Already I heard a new IM from a very obvious person.
   Cherrypiex9: Hey Joyce!! What'd you get on the magnificent report card?
   Joycetotheworld: OMG I flunked a class and my brother started giving me a lecture about how I'm hanging out with the wrong people.
   Cherrypiex9: No your not! And he should not be prying into your life like that.
   Joycetotheworld: Yeah . . . Hey dont you have a crush on him?
   Cherrypiex9: Erm..no..but I have to go .. Heidi keeps yelling at Colby and guess who has to break them up and make breakfast?
   Joycetotheworld: You. Now go! Stop the world from troubles Bethany and change my 'F' to a 'B'!
   Cherrypiex9: I’ll try, but I'm not sure all of your wishes will be granted.
   Joycetotheworld: darn. Well bye anyways.
   Cherrypiex9: bye.

   [i am absolutely not continuing. i never finish what i start, i just have these sudden urges to do things like this. it doesn't even have a title; i mean really, what am i thinking when i make these things up?]

    Today, I realized that when you take the plastic cover off of our pizza cutter, it sounds like a sword being unsheathed. I then proceeded to do that for the next five minutes. I have never felt more awesome. MLIA.
