Why does sadness attract people, while happiness makes them overlook things?
Why does being sick appeal to people, while being healthy sounds uninteresting?
Why do people want to be seen as broken, instead of being whole?
So many people want to make thier lives more interesting
by trying to force more issues on themselves, or making their situation seem worse
than it is?
What most people don't realize is, even though sadness, illness and depression
are made to look lovely and mysterious in the media,
in reality, its not lovely to be sad, its tragic and unhealthy
its not lovely to have an illness, its tragic, boring, scary, and unhealthy
its not mysterious to be depressed, because everyone say they are depressed now
when you admit you are depressed, you are not being unique
because there are probably millions of people in the world that claim they are depressed
depression isn't special and having it doesn't make you special
yea, people have depression, people have tough lives
this doesn't mean you have to be so focused on how miserable you are
and how bad you have it, because somewhere, right now, someone has it much more
because its selfish in ways
misery isn't a competition
you say you want to be lovely?
then why not try to be influential, instead of selfish?
