This is Killing Me;
so my dad gets home from work,
everythings ok.
my sister gets home from work,
again everythings ok.
my brother gets home from work,
im sitting on the couch just watching TV.
"Did they tell you" he says.
"Did they tell me what."
"About Zeus"(our dog)
As soon as Zeus came out of his mouth my sister looked at me and I just took one look at her eyes and they said i'm sorry.
"WHAT IS WRONG."
"Well, there's a lump on his back."
"A lump. Ok. What kind of lump!"
"They think its cancer."
This hit me hard. I look at my sister.
"WHY COULDNT YOU TELL ME? DID EVERYBODY KNOW BUT ME?? NO CALL!!! NO TEXT!! NO NOTHING! WHY!!!"
"Im sorry, I didnt want to hurt you!"
"HURT ME? REALLY! IT WOULD HURT ME EITHER WAY. APPARENTLY YOU DIDNT THINK THAT THIS WOULD BE WORSE. EVERYBODY KNEW BUT ME. EVERYBODY!! COULD NO ONE STOP AND JUST TELL ME! WHAT IF ALL OF A SUDDEN WE HAVE TO PUT HIM DOWN AND I DONT EVEN KNOW WHY! WHAT ABOUT THAT? DID YOU THINK ABOUT THAT?"
"Selena, look I know. I'm sorry."
I felt bad for what I said but the four years I've had Zeus he's just made me happier. He knows when your sad. I just don't want him to die. They said its possible to remove the lump but he'd be in pain for a long time. He already takes pills. I don't wanna let him go but at the same time I don't want him to suffer. I just don't know how to deal with this.
