It's complicated
Part 13
"So, uhm, who are these girls that like me?" Austin asked.
"Well, one of them is Maria.."
"Maria?!" He said astonished.
"Yup.."
"Oh, well who else?" he added curiously.
"Not tel-"
"No! Tell me right now!" He cut me off.
"I'll give you a hint. She's short and has brown hair." I told him.
"Uhm, Casey? Alyssa?" He guessed.
"Nope." I smirked.
"You?.."
I turned red and quickly shook my head no.
He nodded, "Ughh, who?!"
I smiled and walked away as the bell rang for dismissal.
Later on he texted me trying to find out who it was again and of course, I didn't tell him.
The next day he asked once again.
"Magg, please tell me. I'm dying to know. If you were really my bestfriend you'd tell me." he said sincerly.
My lips formed into a straight line. I stared at Austin, then the clock, noticing the bell would ring in exactly one minute.
"Beep."
I got out of my chair and as I was about to walk away, Austin grabbed my arm.
"Maggie, please!"
"Me.."
I looked down, pulled my arm away from him and quickly ran away.
"Really?!" I faintly heard him say as I ran away.
I heard him calling my name but I just ignored it. He didn't like me and I knew it.
The rest of the day he acted as if he had never found out. Me, on the other hand, decided to make it extremly awkward.
He texted me later, as usual.
"Hey, do you really like me?" I read.
I typed back, "Yeah.."
I waited for what seemed like an hour, for him to respond.
Finally my phone vibrated and I quickly viewed the message.
"Why didn't you tell me?" He questioned.
"I thought it'd be awkward afterwards and we'd stop talking."
"Never! I love talking to you =)" He replied.
I stupidly smiled at my phone and locked the message to read over and over again.
