Chapter 12
We arrived at the gym. Trevor left us then Anna and I walked into the locker room.
"So we work out here almost all the time. This is going to be your locker." She pointed to a blue locker. "You can get your own lock if you want. You're already ready but you can put your bag in there and put your hair up. Meet me here in 10 minutes." She smiled and walked away.
I took of my jacket and put it into my locker along with my gym bag. I put on deodrant really quickly and closed my locker. I pulled out a hair tie and tied my hair up into a messy bun. I adjusted myself and went to meet up with Anna. She was already there, "Ready?" I nodded and we walked into the gym.
When we walked in there was a lot going on. Weight lifting, running, stairs, everything.
Anna looked at me, "Do whatever you want. Stretch first and then hop on any machine." She pointed out a spider machine, "You can do all your stretches on there." She smiled and walked towards a matt.
I went to the machine and I started stretching out my whole core. It had been a while since I worked out so it was going to be difficult today.
I looked around and I saw every girl. They were perfect. I wasn't.
I put in my headphones and hopped onto a treadmill. I ran until it hurt my legs.
It was an hour into the open gym and the coaches called us all to session.
"Wow. 10 miles. Good job Alex." I looked over and saw Brett who I remembered from the bonfire.
I smiled and pulled out my headphones. "Thanks." I felt myself dying.
"Waters over there." He pointed out a fridge with water bottles.
I smiled, "Thanks."
I grabbed a water bottle and walked towards the cheer area.
"Okay girls. If you weren't at practice yesterday we have a new girl, meet Alex."
I smiled and waved at the girls, the coach went on. "She's going to be a flyer. Alex you're going to be with Anna, Josh, and Brett." She pointed them out, I went over and stood by them. I then realized how many guys were on the cheer team.
Anna hugged me, "Yay. You're our flyer." She smiled.
I grinned at her, to breathless to speak.
"Okay everyone, go do 5 sets of abs, 20 per set. Go to 6 sets of legs, 15 per legs. Then you can hop on a machine for the remainder of the time. Cheer practice is at 7. You have an hour to eat and relax. See you guys at the school in 2 hours." She smiled and walked away.

When 6 o'clock hit I was on the floor, breathless.
Anna and my other bases walked up to me, "We're going to breakfast. Wanna come?" Anna asked.
I had a good work out and I was starving, "Yeah. If I survive until then."
They laughed and helped me up. Trevor came up to me, "What are you doing?"
"Going out to breakfast." I said.
"Oh so am I. What a coincidence." He smiled.
I laughed, "See you there."
I dried up my sweat, applied deodrant and perfume, put on my hoodie and I walked up to Anna. "Where's this place at?" I asked her.
She smiled, "A mile down the road. But we're running there."
I nodded, "Okay. Let's go."
She smiled and we all got outside. I saw a lot of people running with us.
We ran and only 10 minutes later, everyone had arrived there.
We were seated quickly. Anna smiled, "Ready for your first practice?"
I nodded, "I'm excited to be cheering again."
She smiled, "It's fun to be part of a team."
I nodded at her and soon the waitress came up to us.
They all ordered and she turned to me, "2 eggwhites on dry wheat toast. With a side of turkey sausage."
Anna looked at me, "You're really serious about working out."
I shrugged, "How'd you know?"
"You're just a healthy person."
She smiled but Brett gave me a weird look. I put on my hoodie feeling self concious.
Our food arrive and everyone dug in. We all finished our food, paid our bills and left.
I took of my hoodie and tied it around my waist, I felt hands around my stomach a few moments later. Trevor's face was at my ear. "All the football guys are talking about how hot you are." He kissed my cheek.
I smiled at him. "Hi to you too."
He laughed, "Let's go to our practices."
"Race you to the gym." I said.
He smiled, "You're on loser."
We got ready and I sprinted to the gym. I was a block ahead of him in a few seconds.
I was almost to the gym when Trevor got to my side. I looked at him and sprinted as fast as I could.
"I won." I said as we arrived at the gym.
"It's cause I let you win." He said.
I grimaced at him. "I don't like you."
He leaned over me, "Yes you do." He whispered.
I blushed a deep red.
"Come on guys. We're gonna be late to practice." Anna said, breaking the mood.
So we got into the car, and drove to practice. All the time I was thinking about Trevor.
This is dragging on, I know. It's going to pick up. The drama will ensue.
