The church I go to is really Polish, so it isn't cathedral style, which I don't like. I'd rather have some over-the-top cathedral than some gaudy marble

Probably, yeah! I'm going to visit University of Pittsburgh in a month and they have a similar cathedral so my friends are making fun of my apparent need for a grand cathedral, since my schools are Duke, Pitt, Stanford and Vanderbilt, which all have these memorable buildings

Yeah, you can see the royal blue in the bottom of the picture is scaffolding as they add more mortar to the stones, and the chapel itself is closed for worship until May 2016 as they redo the marble, I believe. It was still beautiful.

Ah, the Duke Chapel. I wish I could have gone in, but it's under construction. When I go back next year for a follow up / in a year and a half for accepted student day, I hope it'll be open so I can go in. It's such an old and beautiful building :')

My biology teacher got sick in the middle of the year so we had a long term sub. She was Canadian and a dog breeder who knew nothing about biology and gave me 8/15 on labs because I used incorrect nouns and verb tenses, to the point where I would walk in and produce our textbook answers which looked exactly like mine and she'd be all "oh, I guess I can change your grade but you need to work on grammar" like lmao you spell color "colour" which is fine in Canada but this is Murica and it's unacceptable.

I love biology. That's my jawn. I'm going to visit UNC, Wake Forest, Duke, UVa and Georgetown this summer, and then I think I'm going to Texas to see UT Austin, TCU and Rice next summer. I'm so excited :))))) it feels like I'm so grown up !!!!

Okay, I was supposed to get a B in chemistry for my final grade except my teacher bumped my grade up since he said I was his "most dedicated student" so I got all A's and my chances of getting into Duke just went up a billion percent because my GPA is almost a 6 like what the hell who has a GPA of 6 oh wait it's me sorry I'm so excited like this is amazing wow I love the world butterflies and pizza and rainbows and unicorns!

My friend committed to play lacrosse at Yale. She loves it there. I'd consider going there for my doctorate and then be some sort of neurologist in either Boston or New York. I need to be in a city, stat.

I'm not really sure it's worth going to an Ivy, or almost Ivy (MIT, Stanford, CalTech) for undergrad. I'll probably end up at Wake Forest because their biology/neuro program is in the top 10, and then go to Stanford or UC San Francisco for my masters and doctorate.
