"You can't settle for reaching other people's limits. You have to reach yours." - Julien Smith, The Flinch
I am determined never to give up my dreams, to be scared of something I can't die from, or to forget what means most to me. It's a promise I've made to myself and to people who didn't get to live long enough to accomplish their dreams.
One of my dreams is to write and have people enjoy what I have to say. Hopefully with the help of wittyprofiles.com this can come true.

Last night, I got a knock on my door an hour and a half before my curfew. Five boys were on my porch, and for the first time in quite a long time, I was completely and totally ready to leave the house. Not to argue or make them wait. I was happy oddly. I had already had a bitof a hissy fight with my mother, so it was strange to me.
That same night, a boy I like finally made a move that resulted in huge smiles on both parties, my old best friend became closer than we have been in ages, and my current best friend got what she wanted from a boy she's been playing tug-o-war with for the past month.
I really wanna say that last night was the best night of my life, but I don't know if it was. I'm only 15. and I still got a lot more living to do hopefully. And, hey!, tonight could be better.
Maybe my crush will ask me out, maybe my old best friend will decide we should be best friends again, and maybe my best friend will finally have a boyfriend to last her awhile.
Or I could win a million bucks, befriended by all of the cast and staff of the Avengers, and get a cute little puppy.
I don't know why I'm expecting greater from what seems to me an almost perfect night. I think it's because no matter what kind of day or night your having, I hope you expect better because you think you deserve better or more. It's not conceited. It's almost theraputic.
    Never settle for less.

I'm one of those girls who blends in with the wall:/
Obviously that's not true. Otherwise you wouldn't be the only girl I notice.
    But I blend!.
You're right you do blend.. Perfectly into my arms. Never forget that.

    Chapter 17
    Calli
I'm really disappointed about the whole Leslie thing. She ended up proving me wrong, but that doesn't mean I'm not right.
Anyway, after breakfast, we all lined up outside.
“For the first day, we will be taking another jog around this campus. This time, anyone who makes a mockery of themselves and this camp will do much more than wash vehicles. You will get up earlier, go to sleep later, and do many more activities. We will then learn the proper technique for completing the obstacle courses and run the beginning course. By then, it will be lunch. Lunch is promptly served at 1200. If we do not make it in time, it will be your own fault, and you shall not receive your middle meal. Am I understood?” General Hoppucket said.
We all replied in a firm 'yes sir!'.
    “Let's begin!” Sergeant Wilcoke barked.
I started jogging. Kayden quickly caught up with me.
    “Hey, Calli,” he said smiling.
“Hey, Kayden,” I replied keeping my gaze forward.
“I wanted to talk to you about something.” I could feel his eyes on me.
    “Then talk.”
“It's kind of hard for me to explain.”
    “Take your time.”
We jogged for a long time without talking. Part of me really wanted to know what he wanted to talk to me about. I didn't push him though. I honestly wanted to finish the jog before we got into a serious discussion.
The layout of Base 11 went up, down, and all around. We climbed hills, ran on small bridge-like structures made up of earth, and ran on the bank of a man-made lake. I know Base 11 didn't sound like a huge place at the beginning, but not everything is always as it seems.
We were getting closer to the main area of tents when Kayden finally spoke again.
“What do you think of me?” he asked.
“What do you mean?” Talking takes a lot of breathing.
“I mean, when you look at me, what do you think impression wise?”
“Umm, I don't know. What kind of answer are you looking for here?”
“I don't know. Nevermind.” He looked disappointed and dropped back.
I kept jogging. He'd talk to me when he wants to.
“Okay, boo!” I heard Leslie call out. I felt someone jogging up beside me.
It was Jayden. He nodded and continued gaining speed, passing almost everybody.
    Since when is Jay athletic?

    Chapter 15(Part 1)
    Calli
“Let's go, ladies!” Sergeant Wilcoke barked.
We all lazily climbed out of our beds. And lined up beside them.
“Make your beds! Get ready and be outside in 20! You will be wearing long pants, your black t-shirts, and your dog tags! Any questions?”
“Yeah,” Leslie chimed in. “What are we suppose to do in 20 minutes? Make our bed? That seems like a long time to be making your bed.”
    “What?” Sergeant Wilcoke asked incredulously.
“You can't possibly mean that we have 20 minutes to change AND make our beds! That is definitely not enough time.” Leslie stepped out of line. Her forehead had worry lines in it.
It took all of my composure not to start laughing like a hyena.
“Permission to speak?” Maya asked Sergeant Wilcoke.
“Permission granted.” Sergeant Wilcoke's face was bright red from either her patience about to blow or her embarrassment at Leslie's ignorance.
“I don't think Leslie understands what this camp is about. Base 11 was founded both as a military base and camp to teach kids respect, discipline, and diversity. By diversity, the camp means a different daily routine. I hope Leslie realizes by entering herself in this camp she has committed to all of the rules and regulations including obeying orders. We are not her to have a good time. We are here to learn, and having fun is just a bonus on the way,” Maya stated. She then nodded her head to acknowledge she was done speaking.
Now it took all of my composure to not to high-5 Maya.
“Do you understand everything Maya just said, Leslie?” Sergeant Wilcoke had a huge, smug grin plastered on her face.
Leslie rolled her eyes. “Yes, ma'am. I'm not stupid, you know.”
“You could've fooled me,” Sergeant Wilcoke retorted. “20 minutes! Dismissed!”

    PART 2
Two years after the Smith sisters deaths, the parents had a baby boy. The girl's room became a guest room and the little sister's room where the murder took place became the baby's room. The baby grew up to be a successful kid.
One night he was on the computer and received an instant message.
    h0tNsPiCy91: Hey lil bro!!!
2seXay4u: Who the eff is this?
    h0tNsPiCy91: It's your big sis.
2seXay4u: I never had a sister. I'm an only child.
2seXay4u: This is some kinda joke, huh?
h0tNsPiCy91: Mom and dad never told you?
h0tNsPiCy91: I died 15 years ago with your other older sister.
h0tNsPiCy91: We were murdered in your room which was once my little sister's room. She was killed in bed when I was sleeping. I was killed in the closet and skinned to death.
2seXay4u: Quit lying. I never had a sister. If I did my parents would have told me. Whatever. Your stupid.
h0tNsPiCy91: You don't believe me? Well if you wanna look in your closet floor.
h0tNsPiCy91: I carved my name and the time and date I was being murdered. Then I carved my little sister's name.
h0tNsPiCy91: If you don't believe me little brother check the internet. Google on ''Smith sisters murdered anonymously''.
h0tNsPiCy91: I gtg little brother. I love you and mom and dad soo much. I can't believe they kept us a secret from you. They should burn in hell.
The boy checked the closet. He saw the carvings. Was it true? He surfed the internet and information was there about the anonymous murder in the house. The next morning the boy went downstairs. It was so quiet. Maybe his parents were sleeping. Hours later the boy found his parents in their closet skinned and hanged. Then he found more carvings on the ground. They said ''I TOLD YOU I WASN'T LYING LITTLE BROTHER, I LOVED MOM AND DAD.... BUT THEY KEPT ME A SECRET. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT. WELL I'M FREE FROM THIS COLD WORLD, I WON'T HURT YOU LIKE I HURT THEM. I LOVE YOU!"
    - LISA SMITH
This is a death chain letter. If you don't repost this in the next hour, the parents will kill you at night. They will kill you!
DON'T BELIEVE ME? LOOK IT UP IN GOOGLE!
    scary right?

The girl was so scared she locked all her doors and windows. She made sure her room was secured. She wasn't sure if it was a joke or for real. She didn't know when he was going to come. The girl was so frightened she decided to sleep with her little sister. The girl dozed off quickly.
Then she heard a knock on the window. The girl slowly walked to the window. It started knocking louder. The girl looked through the windows and saw nothing... just some of the tree branches. The girl went back to bed with her sister. The bed was wet and had a pretty horrid smell. Maybe her sister wet the bed... the girl checked and found blood everywhere. The girl panicked. She didn't know what to do. She ran and hid in the closet in case the killer was there for her. While looking through the cracks of the closet the girl saw a shadow. It was dark, so she couldn't figure out who it was. She started to get more frightened. The shadow crept closer to the closet. The girl closed her eyes as if it was a dream. Then suddenly he opened the closet door and pulled her out.
Her parents found her dead the next morning. She was completely skinned and hanging in her sister's closet. The younger sister was also found skinned and dead.

    Chapter 13 (Part 2)
    Calli
After Corporal told us she'd come back to yell in lights out soon, Christy asked Leslie what happened.
“We kissed!”she gushed. “His lips were so soft, and he didn't even stop until he heard a general's voice. He's so sensitive. His home life is terrible.”
    I snorted quite loudly.
    “What's so funny?” Leslie snarled.
“Jayden, having a rough home life? Sure he has issues with his family, but rough? Anything but. It's just a misunderstanding,” I stated holding back my laughter. Sure, his life's hard, but it isn't a total sob story. In fact, all they need is some therapy, and a better understanding of each other.
“You don't know anything, Colorado.” She came over to my bunk. “I'd keep your mouth shut.”
“She went to school with him, Plastic,” Skylar said. “She has known him longer, so she should know more.”
“Who are you calling Plastic? Isn't most of you made in the Philippines or something?”
“I'm natural made unlike all of you. You were engineered at a factory.”Skylar smiled and climbed into her bunk smug.
“I bet he doesn't even know you're name,” I said to Leslie.
“I'll prove it, tomorrow Colorado.” Leslie sashayed off. It looked more like her hips were having spasms.
“Lights out!” Corporal Johnstone yelled into our tent.
We all turned our lanterns off some soldiers had set up for when it gets dark.
I guess that 'connection' was wrong. Maybe Kayden was right. I shouldn't go for the loser brother. Maybe I shouldn't focus on guys at all. I am at a military camp in the desert after all.

    Chapter 12 (Part 2)
    Jayden
This chick, however, I have no idea. Heck! I don't even know her name. It'd be too embarrassing to ask. I'll just ask the guys later or hope that one of her tentmates says it out loud.
“What's your home life like? I told you. It's only fair.”
Immediately from that one question I knew what type of girl she was. She was the rich brat who gets whatever she wants and is used to that. She gets all the guys. The best group of followers and is invited to all of the sweetest parties. Lucky for guys like me, these types of girls get sick of jocks that act like boys and go for loners like me who act tough like men. They usually were the best kissers.
I had to think of a sob story fast. One that would get me where I needed to be. Do not take that as her pants, I was actually thinking her bra (Just kidding!). No, I wanted to get inside her head. It's easier if she's out of mine and I'm in hers because the kissing gets more intense.
“My parents hate everything. Even Kayden and me. Kayden thinks it's all my fault, so he hates me. I'm all alone. I have no one.” Okay, so some of that was partly true, but hey!, I had to think quick.
“Ohmygosh! I am soooo sorry for you!” She pulled me into a hug.
Then, she leaned back, so her e face was about an inch away from mine. We kissed and my predictions were right. She is a good kisser. Not great, but she'll do. Now if only I knew here name!
She pulled back quick. “Ohmygosh! I'm sorry.”
She stayed close enough for me to pull her back, which is exactly what I did.
Damn! What the hell is her name?!

“Well,” he squirmed uncomfortably, “not really. I mean, I'm kind of a big deal there. My parents are proud. My teammates are some of the best friends I'll ever have. It's just great knowing that there is a huge group of people there through the ups and the downs. They don't care if I miss a pass, just like I don't care too much if they miss a block. Honestly, I'm kind of depressed when the season is over. We don't eat, sleep, and practically live together any more. The connection is still there, just not as strong. I guess that's why I came here. Too make new friends with people I have to eat, sleep, clean, work and even shower with. I can learn to be a better friend and teammate. I just wish my brother wasn't here to screw the whole thing up.”
“Why don't you treat Jayden like you treat your teammates? He is your brother after all,” I stated. “You two literally do eat and sleep together. Just figure out how to behave more like that than two boys who hate each other.”
“Jayden's too different. Don't let being Identical fool you. He doesn't like sports, and he practically hates our family. To be honest, he started the feud. I gave up trying years ago.”
“Maybe that wasn't such a good idea.” I looked into his eyes. He blushed and ran his fingers through his hair. “Look, it's the first day of camp. Let's not talk about such deep stuff.” I nudged him so he looked back up at me again.
    “Race you back,” he laughed.
We ran all the way back to our tents laughing and out of breath.
I don't really get what he meant by missing the season and teammates. I guess because I didn't have the same relationship with my teammates. I REALLY don't get why he doesn't act the same why around his brother. I would have. A brother will actually be there when you get old. What if your teammates won't?

    Chapter 11 (Part 1)

Skylar and Cody got in MAJOR trouble for ruining the jog which ended promptly. The only good thing that came out of their fight was that the rest of us got free time for the rest of the day so we could 'simmer down'. They both had to wash all of the jeeps at the base. Skylar's dad even came down with one of his tanks and trucks to make them wash it.
I decided to explore. I passed by a lot of tents and waved hello to many soldiers while still in my jogging attire. I eventually found a little cliff like thing dropping into the make shift battle maze.
“Calli!” I heard someone call out.
“Under here!” I called back, not really caring who it was.
“Hey,” Kayden said climbing under the rock beside me with difficulty.
“Hey.' I laughed at his struggle.
He smiled a toothy grin. “What are you doing under here anyway?”
“I really don't know,” I replied looking out over the maze. “Why were you looking for me anyway?”
“I saw you walking off. I wanted to make sure nothing was wrong.”
“Well, thanks, and I'm okay. It's just kind of distressing, you know?”
    “No,” he began. “I don't.”
    I sighed. “Nevermind, then.”
“Tell me,” he persuaded nudging me a bit with his shoulder.
“No, I'm fine. Let's just talk about something else.”
    “Like what?”
“I don't know. Do you ever get tired of sports?” I questioned.

    Chapter 9
    Calli
Corporal Johnstone walked into our tent shortly after the little Leslie drama. She was followed by some other female soldiers.
“These women will teach you how to make your bed to military perfection. Then, they will show you the most effective way to get dressed and showered quickly in the morning. You all are responsible for keeping your quarters and bathroom clean. They will be inspected every morning before we begin our activities, so if you don't want to be cleaning all day, you should do it right the first time.”
We spent the next hour cleaning the spotless bathrooms and making our beds to perfection. Eventually, Corporal Johnstone passed out multiple uniforms. A lot of it was camouflage, but we had some black shirts and hats as well. When we were handed our boots you could tell Leslie's companion Christy wasn't too happy about not being able to wear all the flip flops she brought. Yes, she brought flip flops to a military camp. Shows you how smart she is.
“Since we've finished all our tedious work, we will begin our first activity of the summer. You will have this activity everyday for the rest of the duration of this camp. Dress in a tank top under your button up with your camo shorts. Unless you want to be soaked.” With that she left, and we quickly got dressed.
Everybody chose a tank top they brought from home. I chose a plain gray one. Skylar chose a lime green one. Diana wore one that had her name on it ; it was white. Leslie and Christy both chose ones that looked ridiculous. Leslie's was yellow with pink rhinestones. Christy's was one of the ones that flows at the bottom. Alicia slipped into a dark blue one in about two seconds. For some reason, she skipped the shorts. Almost all of us tugged on some boots, except for Leslie and Christy. They wore flip flops.
We trudged outside where Corporal Johnstone and a mean male general stood along with the guys in age group seventeen. I immediately noticed Kayden who was standing in between two athletic boys. Jayden was standing next to a chubby guy and a guy who had long brown hair.
“First activity is jogging!” the mean older man barked.
Leslie and Christy immediately groaned, but it was too late. We were off.
